Eric and Sainty Nelsen wanted a podcast that felt like an extension of their lives, balancing their Hollywood careers with the realities of raising two young children. He is an Emmy Award-winning actor known for his work in Western dramas. She is an Emmy Award-winning actress, producer, and voice actor with a bright, bubbly, and influencer-driven brand. Their challenge was merging two distinct personal brands into one cohesive identity while creating a platform that felt authentic, marketable, and sponsorship-ready.
The Challenge:
Eric and Sainty had built strong personal brands, but their aesthetics were completely different. His branding leaned rugged and Western. Hers was polished, feminine, and playful. The podcast needed a distinct identity that represented both of them while also telling a bigger story. The Glamour & Grit became more than a name. It captured the duality of their lives—the glamour of Hollywood, red carpets, and industry success, alongside the grit of parenthood, personal struggles, and navigating life’s unpredictability.
Beyond the branding, the podcast also needed a website, strategic messaging, photography, and promotional materials to position it for sponsorships and press coverage. The identity had to work across platforms, making it easy for potential partners, listeners, and media to understand the brand and its purpose.
The Solution:
We built The Glamour & Grit into a fully realized brand from the ground up.
Naming & Brand Positioning – We collaborated with Eric and Sainty to create the name and developed a strategic brand voice that felt true to both of them.
Visual Identity & Logo Design – The branding strikes a balance between elegance and ruggedness, ensuring both personalities are reflected in a unified aesthetic.
Website Design & Brand Messaging – A custom-built website captures their story and makes it easy for listeners, press, and sponsors to engage with the podcast.
Photography Direction & Art Direction – I directed the brand photoshoot, managed the shot list, and worked on-set with the photographer and clients to ensure the visuals told the right story.
Marketing & Sponsorship Materials – We designed press kits, pitch decks, and promotional assets to make the podcast stand out to sponsors and media outlets.

As Creative Director and Graphic Designer, I led the entire branding process, from strategy and concept development to execution. I worked closely with our copywriting and account team to refine the brand messaging and positioning. I designed the logo, website, and custom marketing materials, directed the brand photography, and expanded the visual identity to support both The Glamour & Grit podcast and its hosts’ evolving personal brands.
The result is a podcast with an identity as strong as its content. It stands out, attracts sponsors, and gives Eric and Sainty a platform that reflects who they are.
